About Us

U.S. Building Support Services, LLC (USBSS) was founded 18 years ago, in early summer 2001, with the purpose of associating with General contractors, Members of the Retail, Hospitality, and Commercial Community as well as Home Owners, by partnering with them in the management of their Commercial or Residential projects. The goal is “to deliver the greatest level of excellence from the team to our client in all the projects we undertake”.

Maximum value is obtained by combining the highest quality level of materials and workmanship, with the clients budget, and the length of time available to perform the project. This is of the utmost importance in managing the clients expectations and fundamental to achieving success for all involved. The timely delivery of a quality project that is within a predetermined budget is the principle that we represent; from inception and planning, to execution and successful completion.

As a construction manager, USBSS brings 40 years of construction industry knowledge and experience to the owner and architect, at the start and throughout the design phase. This enables the development of a design that controls labor, financial, and material quality and costs to align with the client’s best interests. The construction management process also allows design and construction to proceed concurrently, saving time and therefore, money.”

Meet the Founder

Eddie Arvesu, has over 40 years of commercial and residential construction experience. His passion for construction began while working with his father who headed the Engineering and Land Development Division of Trafalgar Developers.

“Those were some great summers, working with the field crews and learning from Surveying, to installing Water and Sewer lines…etc. There was a lot of clearing fields with machetes and pick & shovel work; even learned how to make some real good Cuban coffee.  Also heard great stories about the Cuba many longed for and the hardships of exile life, mixed in with some very funny tales and jokes. This taught me an appreciation for the field and the hard work it takes to get things done as well as respect for the tradesmen, their craft, and their lives”.

After high school I took on a full-time job as an assistant superintendent in their construction department while I attended FIU, studying Construction Management and Business.

Simultaneously advancing from Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, Estimator, to Construction Manager; by this time I was done at FIU, and had just obtained my General Contractors license.

When Hurricane Andrew made land fall in 1992 it created and opportunity to work in the Miami Dade County Building Department as a Building and Structural Inspector. This was a dynamic time at the County as builders were struggling to rebuild quickly and manage the increased demand for new homes,

while dealing with increased scrutiny from the insurance industry and County Officials calling for changes to the existing code, improvements in the quality of construction, as well as stepped up enforcement. Multiple code changes and severe shortages of construction materials as well as an expanded product approval and testing system made it a very fascinating time to navigate. As a result, this experience greatly enhanced my knowledge of building codes and regulation and gives USBSS a superior advantage in understanding the code, expediting permitting, and inspection issues.

In 2001 another opportunity presented itself to start my company, US Building Support Services LLC, and associate principally with US Construction Corp. and other firms on numerous projects. Over the past 18 years the driving force behind the company has been our client relations.

We are exhilarated in finding solutions to their challenges and would love to partner with you in bringing your vision to reality.
